Zheng, Andreeva to miss Wuhan Open following Beijing final - WTA Tennis

Wuhan Open 2026 Hit by Two Big Withdrawals

Zheng Qinwen and Mirra Andreeva have both stepped back from the 2026 Wuhan Open. Zheng has a shoulder problem as the reason for her exit, which came after her win at the China Open in Beijing. Andreeva also stepped aside after finishing that same final.

Philippines wildcard Alex Eala will begin her first-round match against China's Han Shi in the opening round of the WTA tournament in Wuhan. Eala's wildcard berth gives her a chance against a Chinese crowd favourite.
